This beat the runner up moment of the day when Logan climbed over the back of the couch and went out on the tent roof (sheet over the couch and attached to the walls) only to find out that it wouldn't hold him up.
Me: "Come downstairs and get your shorts one so we can go to HEB."
Dylan: "I want to wear my undies to HEB."
Me: "We can't wear our undies to HEB. Have you ever seen anyone at HEB in their undies?"
Dylan: "But, Mom, its okay. No one will notice. I can just wear my undies because my shirt covers them up. "
Currently, his crocs are on with his shirt and undies.

Top Gun
Well, I just finished watching Top Gun for the who knows how many times. I was forced or was forcing Greg to switch back and forth from the Astros game. Poor guy even missed the other team take the lead in the 9th. Just a few thoughts about Top Gun that I'm sure you are dying to know.
1. Top Gun was the first moving I watched with my parents that had a "romantic" scene in it. I can still remember sitting in the living room of our house and being soooo embarrassed. I know I've said this before, but its weird how I only remember "traumatic" memories of my childhood. Now that I have kids, I wonder what they were thinking in that moment.
2. Just to prove a difference between my hubby and I...Greg switched back to the Astros game and I commented that he better not make the miss the end.
G: "The Celebration scene? 'You can be my wing man anytime.' 'No, you can be mine.'"
K: "No, he goes back to teach and she comes and finds him."
G: "What?"
K: "The jukebox scene! Hello!"
So I guess there is a difference in what we women and men take note of.
3. I just had a random memory, but a partial one. Must not have been traumatic enough. When the guy slams a file cabinet drawer in the movie I think he says "Kirby." I know he says something that was relevant to my life, but have no clue what it is...
I admit this has been a lame post after being gone for so long, but for some reason I felt inspired by the movie. Maybe it was the pre-weirdo Tom Cruise that did it. Seeing him in a towel was still nice. Greg and I were laughing though as you see his muscles flex through it. Sorry for that last random thought.

After Bedtime Thoughts
After a bedtime prayer that I said in Dylan's room where I asked for him to get well soon -
Dylan: "Doctors do it."
Me: "They do what? Oh, they make you better?"
Dylan: "Yes, Jesus doesn't do that."
Me: "Well he can. He and God can do lots of things. All you have to do is pray. If you are afraid or sick, Jesus can help you."
Dylan: "Mommy, how do we get Jesus to come down from Heaven and make me better?"
Me: "Well, Jesus can do that from Heaven. He and God don't have to come down. They are Jesus and God."
Thankfully, the conversation ended here. I felt I was getting in over my head. ha!

Another Funny (at least to me)
Dylan finds a mini saltine in the grass at lunch leftover from yesterday's snack outside. He picks it up and here's the conversation.
Kristen: "Don't eat that. Its dirty and could have bugs on it."
Dylan (as he puts it in his mouth and pauses before chewing) : "I don't feel any bugs on it."

Am I raising dogs?
We are semi-potty training Logan or we could say he is trying to potty train himself. Today when he got up from nap Logan wanted to wear underwear. I said okay and put them on him. We go out into the backyard where Dylan and Daddy are and within 5 minutes Logan notifies us that his pants are wet as he walks akwardly towards us soaked
Dylan tells Logan, "Logan, if you tell Mommy and Daddy you have to go tinkle, they will let you go in the backyard."
??????? (followed by Greg and I's laughter)
I can only remember once when I let Dylan discreetly go by the side fence because he was covered in water and sand and I didn't want that mess in the house. Somehow that translated into a regular senario in his mind...

Flylady
So this lady in my MOM group went on and on about this website and cleaning/lifestyle change. I thought she was crazy, but I really like it and it helped me. Of course, now I'm doing this constantly and I think I might really dig it. We'll see if it transfers until after we sell and don't have to "live in a fishbowl" as my friend, Casie, put it.
http://flylady.net/
p.s. Don't sign up for any of the email updates. They totally flood your inbox and to me don't help at all. A little too much overstimulation.

Moving Again?
For those of you who didn't know we are building a new house. Yes, we have only been in our house for 2 1/2 years, but have gained 2 more children and decided that we needed to move before Dylan started school in 2010. We also wanted to stay in Cedar Park and as most of you know our "hobby" is visiting model homes. Well, we liked Newmark in Westside Preserve at Buttercup Creek.
Our old house just went on the market this past weekend. We've had 3 showings so far and since we were out of town our realtor let a younger guy do an Open House both days this past weekend. Nothing yet, but I keep praying that someone will snatch our house up soon so I can stop being a constant cleaner and focus more time on the kids.
I'm actually really liking keeping the clutter down and the house clean. I even fired my maid today b/c now that I am looking deeper, she doesn't quite cut it! Of course, no one can do it as good as me. They just do it more often!
Anyway, the house won't be ready until June anyway so we have time to sell. If you know of anyone wanting to move to Cedar Park feel free to send them our way...MLS#7684135
