My Staycation

So Greg took the boys to Katy to visit his family this weekend and I am staying here in Cedar Park with Kaley. Its going to be a nice break! Having one kid around, much less a 2 month old is way easy. Now I know some of you out there with one kid think, one kid...easy? Oh yes, its so much simpler. When I had just Dylan, especially in the first 3 months, I wouldn't have ever thought it was easy, but one is so simple.

My favorite part is not having to decide what everyone is going to eat and then deal with the whining (80% of the time) afterwards. I have a recent 2 year old - who I hope to get a post up about this weekend - and he is in that phase of "I don't like that" that comes with a 20 minute cry/fit fest. I haven't decided what I am having for dinner, but it doesn't matter. I won't starve myself, plus I have a coupon for a free Chick-fil-a sandwhich at our new CP Chick-fil-A. Maybe when Kaley wakes up I will load her up and get take out.

Let's see what else have I done in the past 5 hours of staycation. Hmmm...Watched Grey's Anatomy, caught up on my dishes, picked up the boy's bathroom, hallways, and all 3 kid rooms. Additionally, I have joined a time sucker, as my friend Sharon put it, Facebook. Yes, I'm a late adopter, but I'm glad because it is so freakin' addicting. If you aren't on it, which I doubt anyone isn't on it, get on it so we can keep up more real time than the blog.

Anyway, back to my staycation. My goal is to have everything clutter wise picked up tonight so tomorrow I can work on pantry/closet/playroom organization. If I get time, I might wipe down the baseboards. HA! Highly unlikely though!

Well my fun time is over. I'm going to pick up my bedroom and bathroom before I wake Kaley up from her late nap for a Chick-fil-a break. I do have a feeling that I may be blog/Facebook addicted because my only social outlet this weekend is a 2 month old (whom I love lots and lots, don't get me wrong) and the computer. I want it that way, but can see myself longing for the boys by Sunday night. Ahhh...the love of a mother!
